Wie berichtet kann ich mit meinen Vodafone-UltraCards das LTE-Netz nicht mehr nutzen. Ich nutze die LTE-taugliche Hauptkarte meines Vodafone-Datenvertrags daher nun nicht mehr im Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, sondern im HTC Velocity 4G, da das Smartphone für den mobilen Gebrauch naturgemäß deutlich handlicher ist.

Dafür ist eine der UltraCards, die sich nur ins GSM- und UMTS-Netz einbuchen, nun im Apple iPad WiFI+Cellular in Betrieb. Hier ist die fehlende LTE-Freischaltung zu verschmerzen. Das Apple-Tablet bucht sich in Europa ohnehin nicht in die LTE-Netze ein.
Im Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE kommt dafür nun die bislang im iPad genutzte o2-MultiCard zum Einsatz. Bei o2 sind alle MultiCards LTE-tauglich, so dass ich das Tablet je nach Netzversorgung somit weiterhin auch für LTE verwenden kann.
